Beaded Weft Extensions

The Art of Precision.
The Science of Fine Hair.

Introducing the Structural Seam Installation Method — a proprietary technique developed exclusively by Sorelle of Hair for women who demand more than the ordinary.

Begin Your Consultation

Our Philosophy

Fine hair is not a limitation.
It is a canvas.

Most extension techniques were designed for thick, dense hair. They work by force — weight, tension, bulk — and fine hair pays the price. At Sorelle of Hair, we refused to accept that.

After years of working exclusively with fine hair clients across Australia, I developed the Structural Seam Installation Method: a bespoke approach that treats each installation as an architectural exercise, mapping the unique structure of your head to create extensions that move, breathe, and integrate seamlessly — without compromise.

This is not an off-the-shelf service. It is a craft. And it begins long before you sit in my chair.

The Method

What Is the Structural Seam
Installation Method?

Developed and practised exclusively at Sorelle of Hair, the Structural Seam Installation Method redefines how beaded weft extensions are placed on fine hair.

01

Structural Mapping

Every installation begins with a full analysis of your head's architecture — bone structure, natural growth patterns, density distribution, and scalp health. No two heads are mapped the same way.

02

Seam Precision

Weft seams are positioned to follow the natural contour of your scalp — not a rigid grid, but a fluid, bespoke layout that disappears into your own hair. Flat, invisible, and completely undetectable.

03

Zero-Tension Placement

Fine hair does not tolerate tension. Every bead is placed with the exact pressure required — no more, no less. The result is an installation your scalp will never feel, but your mirror will always show.

04

Longevity by Design

Because the method works with your natural hair rather than against it, your extensions last longer, your natural hair remains healthier, and your maintenance appointments are simpler.

The Process

Your Journey, Step by Step

Every client who walks through our doors is on a journey — one that goes far beyond the appointment itself. Here is exactly what that journey looks like.

Step 01

The Consultation

45–60 minutes  ·  Complimentary

Your journey begins with a conversation. Not a quick chat — a proper, unhurried consultation designed to understand your hair, your lifestyle, and your vision.

During your consultation, I will:

  • Assess your scalp and hair health — checking density, porosity, condition, and natural growth patterns before any commitment is made.
  • Map your head — using the Structural Seam method, I plot exactly where each row will sit, accounting for your bone structure, parting habits, and how you wear your hair daily.
  • Discuss your lifestyle — how you wash, style, exercise, and sleep all affects the recommendation. I need to understand your life before I design for it.
  • Colour match under natural light — I work with premium wefts and take colour matching seriously. We will never approximate.
  • Set honest expectations — I will tell you what is achievable, what is not, and what a realistic maintenance schedule looks like for you specifically.

You will leave your consultation with a clear plan, a colour recommendation, and a service quote — not a guess.

The Mapping

Performed on installation day

Before a single bead is placed, I map the installation. This is the stage that separates the Structural Seam method from every other technique — and it is the stage most extensionists skip entirely.

Using precise sectioning, I identify:

  • The natural part lines and high-movement zones where rows must be invisible
  • Areas of density variation that require different weft weights
  • The exact horizontal and directional angles that will allow your hair to move naturally in every direction
  • The margin zones — areas near your hairline and nape that determine how low you can wear your hair, and how high you can put it up

This is meticulous, deliberate work. It takes time. That time is what makes the difference.

Step 03

The Installation

3–5 hours depending on service

Installation day is precise, methodical, and — for most clients — deeply satisfying to witness.

Working through each mapped row, I place micro beads with exact, consistent pressure and slide the weft into position. Every bead is individually checked for flatness. Every weft is inspected for tension. Nothing is rushed.

The process:

  • Bead placement — each micro bead is placed at the precise point identified during mapping, with consistent spacing that allows the weft to sit flat against the scalp.
  • Weft attachment — the weft is looped and clamped with the exact pressure required for fine hair — secure enough to hold, gentle enough to protect.
  • Row-by-row quality check — each row is assessed for flatness, tension, and symmetry before we move to the next.
  • Cut and blend — once installed, extensions are custom-cut and layered to integrate seamlessly with your natural hair. This is not a trim — it is a precision cut designed specifically for the shape of your head and the weight of your new length.
  • Style finish — you will leave with your hair styled, blended, and looking exactly as we planned in your consultation.

Your Custom Haircare Plan

Provided at every appointment

The appointment does not end when you leave the salon. Every Sorelle client receives a personalised haircare plan — a written blueprint built around your hair type, your extensions, and your life.

Your plan includes:

  • Washing routine — frequency, technique, water temperature, and the correct way to shampoo and condition with beaded weft extensions without causing slippage or matting.
  • Product prescription — specific, tested products recommended for your hair's porosity and condition. Not a generic list — a curated selection for your exact situation.
  • Styling guidance — heat tool usage, how to brush correctly from root to tip, and how to protect your extensions while still living your life.
  • Maintenance schedule — how often you need to return, what to expect as your natural hair grows, and how to maintain the integrity of your extensions between appointments.
  • Red flags to watch for — what normal feels like, and what to contact me about between appointments.

This plan is not generic advice. It is designed for you, written specifically after seeing your hair, your installation, and understanding how you live.

Before You Arrive

How to Prepare
Your Hair at Home

What you do in the days before your appointment directly affects the quality of your installation. Here is exactly how to arrive ready.

Do

Before Your Appointment

  • Arrive with clean, completely dry hair — washed the morning of, or the night before if you prefer to sleep with it dry.
  • Leave your hair free of styling products — no dry shampoo, no mousse, no texture spray near the roots.
  • Come with your hair in its most natural state — no blowout, no curl, no straightening. I need to see your hair as it actually is.
  • Bring inspiration images — length, volume, and finish references help ensure we are working toward the same vision.
  • Wear a comfortable top with a low neckline or a button-up. Pulling a tight top over your head after installation is never fun.
  • Eat before you come. Long appointments require you to be comfortable — we can take breaks, but a full stomach makes for a patient client.
Avoid

In the Week Prior

  • No heavy conditioning or protein treatments within 7 days of your appointment — they leave residue that affects bead grip.
  • No oily scalp or root treatments for at least 3 days prior — oils create a barrier that compromises bead adhesion.
  • Avoid chemical services (colour, relaxers, perms) within 2 weeks unless we have specifically discussed and planned for this.
  • Do not use dry shampoo on appointment day — it coats the hair shaft and affects how beads sit.
  • Avoid swimming or salt water in the 48 hours before your appointment — it changes the texture and condition of your hair.

Why Sorelle

This Is Not a Volume Business.

Every installation at Sorelle of Hair is performed personally by Nicole — a master extensionist with years of experience working exclusively with fine hair. Your appointment is not fitted into a packed schedule. It is given the time it deserves.

We see fewer clients by design. Because precision work cannot be rushed, and fine hair cannot afford the shortcuts a high-volume salon must take.

"I became obsessed with fine hair because it is the most technically demanding canvas there is. Get it right, and it transforms someone. Get it wrong, and you cost them something irreplaceable. I choose not to get it wrong."

— Nicole, Founder & Lead Extensionist

Common Questions

Before You Book

Am I a good candidate for beaded weft extensions?

Beaded weft extensions are suitable for most hair types, but they require a minimum density to support the weft weight without strain. During your consultation, I will assess your hair honestly. If I do not believe extensions will serve your hair well at this time, I will tell you — and I will give you a plan to get there.

Will extensions damage my fine hair?

When installed correctly, beaded weft extensions should not damage your natural hair. The Structural Seam method is designed specifically to eliminate the tension patterns that cause breakage. Damage is almost always the result of improper placement, incorrect bead pressure, or lack of proper aftercare — all things we address before, during, and after your appointment.

How often do I need maintenance appointments?

Most clients return every 6–10 weeks for a move-up, where the beads are repositioned as your natural hair grows. This varies depending on your individual hair growth rate, how many rows were installed, and how well you maintain your aftercare routine at home. Your specific schedule will be confirmed at your consultation.

Can I colour my extensions?

Yes, in many cases. Colouring of the weft hair can be performed at a separate appointment before your installation to achieve a precise match. I am highly precise with colour and will not install wefts that are not an accurate match. If a colour service is required, this will be discussed and priced during your consultation.

Do I need to buy special products?

Yes — but not an overwhelming amount. At your appointment, I will prescribe the specific products your hair needs, and explain exactly why each one matters. Most clients need a sulphate-free shampoo, a mid-length and ends conditioner, and a quality leave-in or oil. You will receive written recommendations as part of your custom haircare plan.

How long do the results last?

With proper maintenance and home care, Sorelle clients typically wear their extensions for 12–18 months before a full replacement of the weft hair is needed. The beads are repositioned every 6–10 weeks. The lifespan of your investment is directly connected to how well you care for the hair at home — which is exactly why your haircare plan is taken so seriously.
